busy, busy weekend

We had such a great time these past couple of days. Brig's mom and dad came into town on Thursday and stayed with us until Sunday afternoon. They went into the MTC in Provo on Sunday night and will fly out to Rome in about ten days.

We enjoyed our time with them and did a little sight seeing in beautiful Cache valley. We took a drive up Blacksmith Fork canyon, and oh boy.... it was cold and windy. We decided that it was a good time to grab something to eat, so we went over to Cafe Sabor and had a great lunch.

We enjoyed our walks with Butchy, BBQing steaks, and catching up on some good JAZZ basketball games. We did forget to stop by Charlies and get ice cream cones... I guess that will have to wait for the next time. We will miss Mom and Dad so much, and we will look forward to seeing them in Italy in a year and a half.

On Saturday, Brig and I headed down to American Fork at 5:00am to go to Emma's birth mom's wedding. She and her husband were married in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. It was a beautiful wedding, and we felt so honored to be invited.

Emma stayed at home with Mom and Dad until she woke up and then the three of them drove down to Stansbury Park to meet us and have dinner with the Ricks. We had a great time, and Reagan and Rick were so great to spend some time with.

After lunch and some great company we decided to make the trip home to Logan. The weather was beautiful so we spent a little time outside before Emma needed to go to bed. It was such a wonderful day to witness the marriage of two people that you care about, spend some time with great family and enjoy some beautiful sunshine. Now that we have tasted this beautiful weather, we hope that it conitinues to stay sunny and bright.

It sounds like you had a really fun and busy weekend. I bet grandpa and grandma Stinebaugh are really going to miss their little Emma. Do you think that Kyle and I can go with you when you go to Italy?
