Jared went on a fun fieldtrip this week with the 1st grade classes. They went to St. George to Wal-mart, 2 Fat Guys Pizza and to the Wildlife Museum. I was lucky enough to go with them thanks to Emily for watching Dagen and Jordan (Thanks again Emily).
At Wal-mart they went on a tour and saw where the shipments came in and where they put all the product before it goes on the shelves. The tour guy was great and tried to play a lot of tricks on the kids. They thought he was funny.
The kids went in the freezer which was 10 degrees below zero. They couldn't wait to get out of there. Then they went into the room where they had there meat. The kids all had to plug their noses because of the smell.
Jared's favorite part was the cookie they got as they were leaving.
Next they went to 2 Fat Guys Pizza, this is the owner and one of the fat guys on the picture.
They got to see the kitchen and the fire burning oven they cook the pizzas in.
They were taught how to make the crust and then got their own piece of dough to try it out for themselves. They loved throwing it up in the air.
They all got a piece of pizza to eat after all their hard work.
The museum was a lot of fun and very interesting. Jared came home with a lot of information to tell his dad. I was amazed at everything he remembered. I didn't know he was listening that well.
