9.13.2007

Kyle and Tina went to the hospital early Thursday morning at 5:45am to start with some antibiotics. Around 12pm the doctor came in and broke her water and hooked her up to a drip to induce labor very subtly. By the time that Mom and I arrived around 5:00pm (Utah time) she was only dilated to a 5. Well, she was having some discomfort so Steve came in and adjusted her epidural and then she was good as new. She went from a 6 to complete in the time that it takes one sister to walk downstairs, out to her car to get a bottle for Emma and back to the room. The doctor was right behind me and within minutes he was directing Kyle in the way that he should deliver his own son. Tina pushed about 6 or 7 times and then sweet little Dagen made his way into this world. He must love his mom so much because he delivered without a cut or a tare at 7:22pm. Tina was a pro and Kyle was a great doctor.

I just have to say what an honor it was to be apart of the birth of Dagen. Tina and Kyle were so sweet to let Mom and I be in the delivery room with them and witness the miracle of birth.
